PURPOSE: A searcher operating method in a communication system is provided to share N number of searchers by M number of channels by time division, and effectively operate searchers by searching each channel with priority. CONSTITUTION: A variable sIdx is initialized(S11). It is judged whether the variable sIdx is greater than or the same as the number of searchers(S12). If the variable sIdx is smaller than the number of searchers, it is judges whether a search item of the searcher is null(S13). If the search item of the searcher is null, the variable sIdx is increased by 1(S16). If the search item of the searcher is not null, it is judged whether a whole search for the entire window has been completed by the sIdx-th searcher(S14). If the whole search has been completed, it is judged whether a remaining EACH count is greater than 0(S16). It is judged whether the number of items of a traffic preamble search queue is greater than 0(S24). If the number of items of a traffic preamble search queue is not greater than 0, it is judged whether the number of items of an MUL-Q(traffic multipath search queue) is greater than 0. If the number of items of MUL-Q is not greater than 0, the first item of the MUL-Q is separated and set as a current search item, and the number of items of the MUL-Q is reduced by 1. |
