PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a plastic substrate LCD is provided to increase the durability by the light-weighted plastic substrates having elasticity and realize the stability during the fabricating procedure by carrying out the substrate-related steps as the substrate is fixed to the ultra-slim vacuum plate. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a plastic substrate LCD includes the steps of adsorbing and fixing first and second plastic substrates on vacuum plates(101), forming a thin film transistor array, pixel electrodes and a first alignment film on the first plastic substrate, forming a color filter layer, common electrodes and a second alignment film on the second plastic substrate, joining the substrates together, implanting liquid crystal between the joined substrates, and separating the vacuum plates from the substrates. Each of the vacuum plate includes a vacuum line(102) to be vacuumed in the case of the substrate joining and injected with air in the case of separating the vacuum plates, vacuum holes(103) regularly formed along the vacuum line, and a vacuum valve(104) connected to the vacuum line to keep the vacuum state and blocking the air.
