PURPOSE: A wire communication system equipped with a multi-channel voice communication function is provided to possess a frequency modulation/demodulation device within an exchange system and a wire telephone, construct a channel for transmitting a voice signal in large numbers and transmit the signal, thereby reducing the cost of a transmission line installation. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber interface device unit(2) connects a plurality of wire telephones, modulates/demodulates voice signals of the connected telephones(1A-1B) and then transmits/receives the signals through a multi-channel. An exchange subscriber board unit(4) modulates/demodulates the voice signal transmitted/received through a multi-channel from the subscriber interface device unit(2), thereby performing the call processing. Also, the exchange subscriber board unit(4) is mounted to the inside of the exchange system(3).
