PURPOSE: A method for furnishing chatting by using a short message is provided to transmit a sentence inputted by a user on a cell phone to a specific person, and to manage received messages according to registered persons, thereby enabling chatting with others. CONSTITUTION: If a short message is received through a transceiver(S110), a controller generates a ring signal and analyzes the short message to extract a caller ID(S112). Whether a pre-received short message is stored in a memory is searched by using the extracted caller ID(S114). If a pre-stored short message is searched, the received short message is stored in association with the pre-stored short message(S116). The short messages are transformed to chatting messages(S118), and displayed on a screen(S120). Whether a short message transmitted to the caller ID exists is searched. If so, the transmitted short message is displayed on a displayer. If the user desires to transmit a short message to the caller, the user inputs a short message through a key input unit and transmits the short message to the caller ID. The transmitted short message is stored in the memory in association with time information. |
