PURPOSE: A control box assembly of an air conditioner is provided to minimize size of the control box assembly and the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A control box assembly(80) comprises a PCBs(Printed Circuit Board) having electronic components built thereon for operation of an air conditioner; a control box main body(90) receiving the PCB on a front side thereof; a capacitor(102) installed on one side of a rear side of the control box main body to impress constant voltage to a motor; and a high voltage generator(108) installed on the other side of the rear side of the control box main body to impress high voltage to an electric dust collector. The control box assembly includes a motor cover(59) formed separately from the control box main body to protect the motor. The motor cover has hooks(59a) formed on both sides of one side thereof to be inserted to a chassis, and bosses with screw holes formed on the other side thereof to be fixed to the chassis by screws. The PCB is divided into an A/C PCB(82) having A/C electric components built thereon and installed in the control box main body, and a D/C PCB(84) having D/C electric components built thereon and installed on a front side of the control box main body. |
