<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine developer feed function and waste developer collection function, without producing dead space in a device by easily coping with specification modification, such as miniaturization of the device and a supply amount of a developer. <P>SOLUTION: An image-forming apparatus is provided with a latent image forming means 2 for forming latent images on an image carrier 1 and a developing device 3 for visualizing the latent image formed on the image carrier 1 by the developer. In the developing device 3, a developer supply box 5 and a waste developer collection box 6 communicate with and are connected to a developing housing 4 for storing the developer, respectively, the developer supply box 5 is arranged on the upstream side from a latent image write position P on the image carrier 1, and the waste developer collection box 5 is arranged on the downstream side from the latent image write position P.
