<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication processing system and authentication processing method capable of improving the safety of authentication processing of a transaction by use of a cellular phone and gradually increasing its level at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises a store POS device 10, a center management device 20 communicably connected through a public communication line N, and a cellular phone 30 possessed by a customer. The store POS device 10 comprises a card reader 2 and an input device 3, and the store POS device 10 and the cellular phone 30 comprise radio data communication means 14 and 34, respectively. The store POS device 10 comprises an authentication means 12 having an authentication method selecting processing part 12a for selecting either one of an authentication of transaction based on the collation of the content of the card 1 of the customer with the card code number inputted through the input device 3 and an authentication of transaction based on the collation of the content of the card 1 of the customer with the card code number inputted by the operation of the cellular phone 30 of the customer to perform the processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
