PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of securing a stable battery output. SOLUTION: In a safety valve device 19 integral with a battery lid of a sealed battery 50, the outer peripheral edge of flange of a battery lid 7 is fitted by caulking in advance at a rising part on the outer periphery of the flange part of the safety valve device 8. The safety valve device 19 integral with the battery lid is sealed at the opening of a battery can 5 through an insulating sealing gasket 6. The tip of caulking part of the safety valve device 19 integral with the battery lid is jointed to the battery lid 7 by laser-welding. The safety valve device 8 is made of an aluminum metal while the battery lid 7 is made of a ferro metal. In laser-welding, the tip of caulking part of the safety valve device 8 is irradiated by a laser with 30% to 95% of a spot area of laser irradiation, so that the tip of caulking part is welded to the battery lid 7.
