PURPOSE: A system and method for providing broadcasting program are provided to analyze broadcasting information to judge change or creation of a program and produce reorganized program information to offer the information to users. CONSTITUTION: A demultiplexer(111) separates video/audio data and information data from a digital video signal. A memory(124) stores a program list. A program list extractor(121) extracts program information from EIT information of the separated information data and extracts the program list from the program information to store the program list in the memory. A program list processor(122) compares a previous program list with the currently extracted program list to store a newly changed program list in the memory and outputs the program list stored in the memory to an OSD processor(114) when a user inputs a corresponding key. |
