PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve the quality of a picture by reducing the width of a black matrix and increasing an aperture ratio, to save cost by suppressing the streaming of light, and to obtain excellent LCM(Liquid Crystal Display Module) electro-optical property. CONSTITUTION: Gate lines(304) are arranged on a first substrate in the horizontal direction. Data lines(305) are arranged vertical to the gate lines. Pixel electrodes(300) are surrounded by the gate lines and the data lines. Liquid crystals are formed on the upper portion of the pixel electrodes. The gate line side or the data line side and the pixel electrodes are overlapped with each other.
