LCD HAVING BORDER AREA

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having a border area is provided to easily display specific data on a border area without a separate circuit by changing the structure of pixel in the border area. CONSTITUTION: An LCD comprises a liquid crystal panel including many pixels and divided into an active area and a border area, a scan drive unit for supplying gradation voltage to the gate lines of the liquid crystal panel, and a data drive unit for supplying gradation voltage to the data lines of the liquid crystal panel depending on the applied data signal. In each pixel of the border area, a pixel electrode is connected with a common electrode. Thus, the potential difference between the pixel electrode and the common electrode is zero.
