PURPOSE: A touch panel is provided to facilitate a process by removing a tail part causing the inconvenience during the process. CONSTITUTION: An X-axis electrode(47a) formed on a left of an upper substrate(2a') is formed by following to a lower edge of the upper substrate(2a'). Another X-axis electrode(47b) is formed on a right edge of the upper substrate(2a'). A projection(47a') for contacting with a lower substrate(2b') is formed on one end of the extended part of the X-axis electrode(47a). The projection(47b') for connecting with the lower substrate(2b') is formed on the end part of the X-axis electrode(47b). A Y-axis electrode(46a) is formed on an upper substrate(2b') by following to the right edge. Another Y-axis electrode(46b) is formed on a lower edge of the lower substrate(2b'). A contact hole(48c) is formed on the end part of the extended part of the Y-axis electrode(46a). The contact hole(48d) is formed on the end part of the Y-axis electrode(46b). The contact holes(48a,48b) are formed between the contact holes(48c,48d). The projections(47a',47b') are respectively connected to the contact holes(48a,48b).
