PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera having an upper cover freely opened/ closed with a monitor and covering a lens with a lens barrier that controls supply of power in interlocking with a state of the upper cover and the lens barrier and raises warning when the upper cover and the lens barrier are in a particular state. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes: an imaging means having an imaging element (CCD) 4; the upper cover freely opened/closed with the monitor 14 incorporated thereto; an upper cover opening/closing sensing switch 20; the lens barrier 2 for covering the lens 1; a lens barrier opening/closing mechanism; a lens barrier opening/closing sensing switch 21; a CPU 13 for controlling the imaging means and the monitor 14; and a power supply control means that individually turning ON/OFF each power supply of the CPU 13, the CCD 4 and the monitor 14. The power supply of the CCD 4 is turned on when both the upper cover and the lens barrier 2 are opened. Further, when the upper cover is opened and the lens barrier is closed, a buzzer 16 raises a warning tone or a warning display is made on the monitor 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
