PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which prevents with one retainer two kinds of large and small terminal metal fittings from slipping off and has simple shapes of the retainer and a housing. SOLUTION: The two kinds of the terminal metal fittings 20A, 20B are separately positioned on the leading side and the trailing side in the inserting direction of the retainer 30. On the retainer 30 is formed a slip-off preventing portion 35 to prevent the terminal metal fitting 20B on the trailing side from slipping off. The front end of a guiding portion 36 of the retainer 30 is a slip-off preventing portion 37 to prevent the terminal metal fitting 20A on the leading side from slipping off. Since the guiding portion 36 to stabilize the attitude of the retainer 30 when the retainer 30 being inserted serves concurrently as a slip-off preventing means of the terminal metal fitting 20A on the leading side, the shape of the retainer 30 can be simplified. Since the housing 10 does not need to have a bored hole exclusive for encasing a means to prevent the slip-off of the terminal metal fitting 20A on the leading side, the shape can be simplified.
