COLD-CATHODE TYPE ELECTRODE, DISCHARGE LAMP AND LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold-cathode type electrode which improves luminosity efficiency, a discharge lamp and a lighting unit provided with this cold-cathode type electrode. SOLUTION: The cold-cathode type electrode 4 is provided with an exterior conductive tube 4a and an interior conductive tube 4b which has a conductive connection with the exterior conductive tube 4a and is coaxially arranged inside the exterior conductive tube 4a having a small space from the exterior conductive tube 4a. As the other structure, the cold-cathode type electrode 4 is also provided with a conductive tube formed of a sintered compact mainly composed of one kind or a plurality of kinds selected from among a group of Mo, W and Ta.
