PURPOSE: A cleaning method of an electrolyzer for a washing machine and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve reactivity of electrolysis by cleaning the electrolyzer with supplying inverse voltage against voltage supplied to anodes and cathodes after washing. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning device of an electrolyzer includes first and second ion concentration measuring units(81,83) installed in an electrolyte chamber(71) and a washing water chamber(73) to measure hydrogen ion concentration; a voltage inverting unit(85) connected to input terminals of an anode(74) and a cathode(75) to invert the polarity of voltage supplied to the anode and the cathode; a power supply unit(90) generating voltage to the voltage inverting unit; and a control unit(95) controlling the relay of the voltage inverting unit according to pH from the first and second ion concentration measuring units. The reliability is improved by preventing lowering of reactivity of electrolysis. |
