PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue discount railway tickets on holidays. SOLUTION: In a thicket machine for issuing a prescribed railway ticket when money satisfying a purchase price of the prescribed railway ticket is inserted into a main body of the ticket machine, it is constituted of a setting means for setting the main body of the ticket machine into a holiday mode and an issuance control means for issuing a prescribed railway ticket when money satisfying a purchase price of a prescribed discounted railway ticket for holidays cheaper than the purchase price of the railway ticket on normal days except holidays is inserted into the main body when the main body of the ticket machine is set in the holiday mode.
