PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of performing recording and processing of images irrespective of a processing for generating a 3D computer model and without requiring individual registration of the respective images with the 3D computer model. SOLUTION: To generate texture data for the 3D computer model of a real- life object, images of the subject object are recorded from different viewing positions and directions. Image data are processed by the image processor to register the viewing positions and directions of the images based on the positions of features in the images. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
