PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for changing a skin of data broadcasting are provided to change the skin displayed on a user interface area of a display device into a skin provided by a broadcasting station or a skin selected by a user. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting receiver(120) receives a data broadcasting program. A stream processor(130) processes transport packet streams of the data broadcasting program. A skin detector(140) detects a skin from the data broadcasting program. A memory(150) stores the detected skin. An interface(160) transmits the transport packet streams and a display skin set according to a user's operation command to a display device(200). A controller(170) controls the operations of the parts. A user command input unit(180) inputs the user's operation command to the controller.
