PURPOSE: A circuit for controlling a stop mode of a microcontroller is provided to prevent a wrong operation generated when an undesired abnormal stop instruction is executed because of the change of a data bus value due to an external noise during the operation of the microcontroller by additionally forming a stop register and a wake-up part to a stop mode entering circuit. CONSTITUTION: The stop register(38) outputs a high level control signal only when storing a constant value by receiving the signal from a data bus. The wake-up part(39) outputs a high level enable signal at a power saving mode set by a user, and outputs a wake-up signal to a main OSC(36) by receiving the wake-in signal from the outside when an abnormal stop signal is outputted. An operation part(37) outputs the stop mode signal by receiving the stop signal, the control signal, and the enable signal.
