PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a headset mounting a microphone in both cases whether using the microphone or not. SOLUTION: The headset provides a housing 10 which is attached the ear of the user, an arm 41 in which an end is contained in the housing and the other end is pulled out from a housing hole 13a to the outside and whose length pulled out to outside from the housing hole 13a is adjustable and can be contained in the housing, and a microphone which is installed on the arm 41. In the case to use the microphone, the arm 41 is pulled out from the housing 10 and it is possible to place the microphone near the mouth of the user. When it is not necessary to use the microphone, the arm 41 is contained in the housing 10 and the arm 41 does not project from the housing 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
