PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector that an FPC can be easily mounted even reduced in height, is capable of attaining sure connection with the FPC. SOLUTION: When an actuator 25 is made to rotate around an axis, and the upper surface of a base board insertion opening 24 is released, the gap between a first contact piece 22b and a second contact piece 22c of a tuning fork-shaped contact part 22d is widened by a cam piece 25b of the actuator 25 simultaneously, and a printed wiring board 10 is inserted into the gap, and when the actuator 25 is made to rotate around an axis, and the upper surface of the base board insertion opening 24 is closed, the printed wiring board 10 is pressed by the cam piece 25b, a connection terminal of the printed wiring board 10 is pressed against a contact point 23 of the second contact located at the backside of a housing 21, and a contact point 22a of the first contact piece located at the opening side of the base board insertion opening is made to press a connection terminal of the inserted printed wiring board 10 by lifting the lower rim part of the second contact piece 22c of the tuning fork-shaped contact part 25 bt the cam piece 25b.
