PURPOSE: Steels for welded structures with finely dispersed oxides of Ti-Al-Zr-Mg are provided, which has reduced coarse grain at weld heat affected zone. CONSTITUTION: The steels comprises C 0.06 to 0.30 wt.%, Si 0.05 to 0.50 wt.%, Mn 0.5 to 2.0 wt.%, 0.025 wt.% or less of P, 0.025 wt.% or less of S, Ti 0.005 to 0.050 wt.%, Zr 5 to 500 ppm, Mg 5 to 100 ppm, Al 50 to 300 ppm, a balance of Fe and incidental impurities.
