摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and accurately measure the toner concentration of a wet developer. <P>SOLUTION: A rotating body 1, endlessly forming a groove 20b holding the wet developer along an outer peripheral face, is provided rotatably in the wet developer (a toner ink T) in a developer tank constituting a developing device arranged in an electrophotographic image-forming apparatus by centering a horizontal rotary shaft 11, in a state of the downward part of a diametral direction thereof being immersed. A metering blade 4 for making the layer thickness of a wet developer layer (a toner ink thin layer Ta), formed by pumping the developer to the groove 20b equal to the depth of the groove 20b, is provided in the upstream side of the rotary direction of the rotating body 1. An optical sensor 30, provided with a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element, is provided directly above the top part of the rotating body 1 as a toner concentration detection means. A cleaning blade 5 for stratching off the developer layer is provided on the downstream side of the rotating direction of the rotating body 1. The optical sensor 30 is equipped with a toner concentration totalizing means, a toner concentration totalizing result recording means and a toner concentration determination means in a prescribed mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
