PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line testing device for BS added channel capable of testing whether or not in particular a transmission line in a facility can transmit a BS-IF signal of the BS added channel without the need for an exclusive device to generate the BS-IF signal and to provide a transmission line test signal generating device for BS added channel. SOLUTION: A transmission section 3 in the BS added channel transmission line test device 1 generates a broadcast wave signal for a BS added channel from an existing BS channel broadcast wave signal, transmits the broadcast wave signal and a reference signal to a reception section 5 via a transmission line, the reception section 5 generates a local oscillation signal on the basis of the received reference signal, converts the frequency of the BS added channel broadcast wave signal by using the local oscillation signal into a frequency of a conversion source, and tests the transmission line depending on whether or not an existing BS digital tuner provided to the reception section 5 can receive the signal.
