PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock equipped with an oscillation stop detecting circuit, which is operated with low power consumption, can shorten the detection time, improves stability relative to the temperature and reduces an area in the case of making it into an IC. SOLUTION: The oscillation stop detecting circuit has two capacitors, two charging means for complementarily charging two capacitors according to an operating clock signal dividing the frequency of an oscillation clock, a discharging means for complementarily discharging two capacitors by a MOS transistor, and a voltage detecting means for detecting voltage in both terminals of two capacitors with a predetermined threshold in the OR manner.
