PURPOSE: A subscriber interface device of an AG(Access Gateway) system is provided to directly interface subscriber controllers with subscriber interfaces by a high-speed serial interfacing method, and to remove edge pin restrictions of the subscriber controllers, thereby receiving high-capacity subscribers. CONSTITUTION: The first mappers/demappers(120) installed in subscriber interfaces(100) multiplex voices and control data inputted from many line cards(110), map the voices and the control data in frame signals, transmit the mapped voices and the data, demap/demultiplex received frames, and transmit the demapped/demultiplexed frames to the line cards(110). The second mappers/demappers(220) installed in subscriber controllers(200,210) for controlling the subscriber interfaces(100) demap and demultiplex the received frames, transmit the frames to a CN(Core Network), multiplex voices and control data received from the CN to map the voices and the data in frame signals, and transmit the mapped signals to the first mappers/demappers(120).
