STEEL BELT GUIDING DEVICE OF STEEL BELT CUTTING APPARATUS FOR USE IN MANUFACTURE OF RADIAL TIRE

PURPOSE: A steel belt guiding device provided in an apparatus for cutting a steel belt as reinforcements for use in the manufacture of a radial tire is provided to improve the accuracy of initial entrance guiding operation of the steel belt during winding thereof. CONSTITUTION: In a cutting apparatus of a steel belt used as reinforcements for a radial tire, the steel belt is transferred along a conveyor by means of a clutch and a chain and then further moved along a magnet plate by passing a driving roll until it falls down toward a carrier so as to be wound around the carrier. The driving roll is equally arranged with plural rows of electromagnets(9) surrounding permanent magnets(8). The electromagnets are supplied with electric current from an AC power source(10) through a rectifier(11) and a brush(12).
