PURPOSE: A method for controlling a gas oven range is provided to achieve improved user convenience by permitting user preference menus to be added to the automatic cooking menu. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step(S10) of judging whether an automatic cooking menu addition key is input; the second step(S11) of displaying an automatic cooking set number on the menu set screen, if it is judged in the first step that the automatic cooking menu addition key is input; the third step(S12) of judging whether a mode is an automatic cooking temperature set mode; the fourth step(S13) of setting the temperature of the cooking menu to be added, if it is judged in the third step that the mode is an automatic cooking temperature set mode; the fifth step(S14) of judging whether a mode is a time set mode; the sixth step(S15) of setting the time of the cooking menu to be added, if it is judged in the fifth step that the mode is a time set mode; the seventh step(S16) of judging whether the automatic cooking set number, cooking temperature and time are set; and the eighth step(S17) of storing the automatic cooking set number, cooking temperature and time, if it is judged in the seventh step that the automatic cooking set number, cooking temperature and time are set.
