PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to be capable of stepwise adjusting the brightness of a lamp for lighting a cooking room. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(71) is configured to light a cooking room, and a lamp driving part(70) controls a power supply voltage supplied to the lamp. A control part(30) controls the lamp driving part so as to adjust the brightness of the lamp according to a cooking progress. The lamp driving part includes a plurality of switches(RY1,RY2) connected in parallel between the lamp and a power and turned on/off according to a control of the control part and a half wave rectifier part(D) cascaded between one switch and the lamp and rectifying the power.
