PURPOSE: A method for managing a subscriber state to a packet data service in a WLL system is provided to manage subscriber state information to the packet data service as well as a voice service. CONSTITUTION: A WLL(Wireless Local Loop) subscriber tries a packet data call(S31). A packet data call processing unit of an AN(Access Network) reports packet data call setup to an LE(Local Exchange) by using a V5.2 protocol message(S32). The LE searches a subscriber state database for confirming whether the subscriber is a service available subscriber or an inhibited subscriber(S33-S34). In the case of the service available subscriber, the LE updates state information of the corresponding subscriber in the subscriber state database into a call state(S35). The packet data processing unit assigns packet data service resources and sets up a packet data path with a PSPDN(Public Switched Packet Data Network)(S36). The packet data processing unit confirms whether subscriber mobile station or an IWF(Inter-Working Function) releases the packet data call and reports the packet data call release to the LE(S38). The LE updates the state information of the corresponding subscriber in the subscriber state database into an idle state(S40). The LE transmits a disconnection message to the packet data processing unit(S41). The packet data processing unit reports to the WLL subscriber that the packet data service is unavailable(S42). |
