PURPOSE: A method for controlling the operation of BTSs(Base station Transceiver Systems) by wireless mobile terminals is provided to decide a download sequence of program packages necessary for operating the BTSs according to importance and resetting priorities, and to recover operating programs of the BTSs by downloading the program packages to corresponding BTSs. CONSTITUTION: While each BTS performs a system operating mode to provide a communication service to wireless mobile terminals(202), each BSC(Base Station Controller) in charge of each BTS periodically checks whether down faults are generated in the BTSs(204). If an optional BTS detects a down-fault, a corresponding BSC notifies the down fault and requests download of system operating program packages to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(206). A BSM(Base Station Manager) in the MSC searches the system operating program packages and decides a download sequence according to importance and resetting priorities(208). The corresponding BSC transmits the program packages to the optional BTS(210). The BTS resets each processor(212). If a system operating program is recovered completely, the BTS generates a normal recovery response message and transmits the message to the corresponding BSC(214). And the corresponding BSC notifies recovery of the down fault to the BSM in the MSC(216). |
