PURPOSE: A charger is provided to supply a charge voltage suitable for a battery charge condition by automatically switching different charge voltages based on whether an ID resistor is mounted in a battery. CONSTITUTION: An ID resistor detecting circuit(32) detects an ID resistor for a voltage in a battery. A control circuit(33) controls an output of the first and second constant voltages for charging the battery based on whether the ID resistor is detected by the ID resistor detecting circuit. A constant voltage charging circuit(36) outputs the first constant voltage or the second constant voltage according to the control of the control circuit. When the ID resistor is detected, the constant voltage charging circuit outputs the first constant voltage of 5V to a mobile communication terminal. When no ID resistor is detected, the constant voltage charging circuit outputs the first constant voltage of 4.2V to a mobile communication terminal.
