Device for distribution of a token in exchange for receipt of a first object, such as a used syringe, comprises a sliding housing (2) equipped with an opening (3) for insertion of a syringe. The opening has a shape that is matched to the complex shape of a syringe, i.e. a narrow opening for the needle and wider areas for the syringe body and piston element. The invention also relates to a further distribution device for distribution of a clean syringe.
