CRUSHING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DOUBLE COLLECTOR SCREEN CATHODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, related to an electrode having a structure of first active material/collector screen/second active material, the material can move through an opening of the collector screen to contaminate the connection between another active material and the collector if one of the active materials is powder.

SOLUTION: A cathode electrode is formed by positioning a first electrode active material in a press fixture, and the collector is superposed on the first electrode active material, over which a second electrode active material which is different from the first electrode active material is superposed before pressing. The first electrode active material is such powder as passes through an opening part of the collector while the second active material is a sheet or pellet that cannot pass through the opening part of the collector. Pressing is performed from the second electrode active material side.
