PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tone detector for of correctly detecting a tone while transmitting a tone signal without using a filter. SOLUTION: The tone detector is provided with: a tone transmission section 18 for transmitting a tone T; a tone detection processing section A14 for applying power calculation processing to the tone T; a tone detection processing section B15 for applying power calculation processing to a tone R; an entire tone detection processing section 16 for applying power calculation processing to the entire input signals; and a tone discrimination section 17 for discriminating tone detection. Since the tone detector detects and discriminate the tone signal R other than the transmitted tone signal T by excluding data obtained from the detection processing of an echo signal of the transmitted tone signal from data obtained by detection processing of all the received signals, the tone detector can eliminate or reduce the effect of the echo signal being harmful to the detection processing so as to correctly detect the tone with high accuracy.
