PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a system excellent in an operational feeling and with a high recognition rate of voice recognition regardless of a simplified system by using a single microphone to detect a voice signal and ambient noise and combining a stroke restraining means with a trigger switch for a voice input. SOLUTION: The trigger switch that performs a two-stage operation is provided on a side face of electronic equipment, and when an operation up to the first stage is performed, an actuator mechanism restrains a stroke of the trigger switch. During this period of time, the microphone samples the ambient noise. When sampling processing is finished, the actuator mechanism is reoperated to release the restraint of the trigger switch. When the trigger switch is subsequently operated up to the second stage, a voice signal is started to be fetched. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
