PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a waveguide wherein very high precision machin ing and flatness are required at the joints in a waveguide to obtain necessary characteristics ending up in high machining costs, and the isolation characteristics are hard to secure due to coupling and resonance between the neighboring waveguides when connecting a plurality of waveguides in the same plane. SOLUTION: A choke structure is formed about as deep as and as thick as 1/4 wavelength of the free space transmission waves at least over the length of the waveguide or longer at a position offset from the ends about 1/4 wavelength of the free space transmission waves on the connection surface of the waveguide plates. By this configuration, excellent transmission, reflection and isolation characteristics are obtained with no resonance in the signal band and suppressing the coupling between the neighboring waveguides.
