PURPOSE: A steering system with changing a gear ratio is provided to change the gear ratio according to a vehicle speed between a steering wheel and a gear box by having a changing portion of the gear ratio connected to a pulley and a belt. CONSTITUTION: A ball screw(33) is installed to the outside to move an output rod(30) to an axial direction. A driving shaft(130) is arranged in parallel with the ball screw. A hypoid gear(140) is included between an input shaft(120) and the driving shaft to receive rotational force from the input shaft. A pair of driving pulleys(150) is installed to the outside to be interlocked with the driving shaft. An end of the driving pulley is fixed and the other end is movable. The motor(160) moves the other end of the driving pulley to the axial direction. An end of a V-belt(195) is wound to the outside of the driving pulley. A pair of slave pulleys(180) is installed to be interlocked with the outside of the ball screw to be wound to the other end of the V-belt. A pair of springs(190) supports both outsides of slave pulleys to be adhered each other. Therefore, heavy steering feeling and directional stability are applied in fast traveling while light and comfortable steering feeling is applied in slow traveling.
