<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To translate so as to hardly cause misunderstanding, and to reduce the amount of books that a user keeps. <P>SOLUTION: A book 9 formed from layout information and a first text expressed in a first language is collected from a book production terminal 4, and then is separated into the layout information and the first text. The first text is converted into a second text in which a plurality of synonymous words are substituted with a word, and the layout information and the second text are recorded in a database. If identification information and the second language are indicated from a user terminal 5 to make a request for a translation book 11 to a book providing device 3, a book providing server 3 converts the second text into a third text expressed in the second language, produces the translation book 11 based on the third text and the layout information, and transmits the book to the user terminal 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
