PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp, having a reflecting means for efficiently and effectively reflecting at least either visible light or infrared ray. SOLUTION: The light bulb type electrodeless discharge lamp with discharge gas filled inside is constituted of a discharge container 21 provided with a recessed part, a coil 23a inserted into the recessed part of the discharge container 21, a lighting circuit 24 feeding high-frequency power to the coil 23a and a mouth piece 27 electrically connected to the lighting circuit 24. The discharge container 21, the coil 23a, the lighting circuit 24 and the mouth piece 27 are constituted integrally and a reflective tape reflecting radiating light ejected from the discharged gas and emitted inside the recessed part from the discharge container 21 is wound around the coil 23a.
