PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposed receptacle in which a connection work of electric wires can be easily performed and a plug can be prevented from dropping off. SOLUTION: The exposed receptacle A comprises an instrument body 1 in which blade insertion ports 5a, 5b separately inserted by blades of a plug are arranged at the front face and which is mounted in a state of being exposed on a construction face, a plurality of blade receiving parts 21A, 21B which are housed in the instrument body 1 and individually and electrically connected to a blade inserted from each blade insertion port 5a, 5b, and a plurality of terminal parts 22A-22C of a coupling terminal structure which are housed in the instrument body 1 and individually and electrically connected to each blade receiving part 21A, 21B or an earth terminal plate 24 and electrically as well as mechanically connects wires inserted from the outside. Each blade receiving part 21A, 21B has a pair of counterposed arc-form blade receiving springs 21a, 21b, and the blade receiving spring 21b has an engagement projection for preventing the blade from dropping off by engaging with the through-hole of the blade in a state wherein the blade is connected.
