PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damages to a magnetic transfer master, while maintaining high electromagnetic conversion properties of a flexible magnetic recording medium and to increase the magnetic transfer cycles. SOLUTION: Information transfer is made, by closely contacting a recording medium to a magnetic transfer master which has an asperity matching the transfer information on the surface of Mohs hardness 6 to 10. The flexible magnetic recording medium has a coating, consisting of a magnetic layer and a non-magnetic layer, and the magnetic layer contains diamond particles of 0.03 to 0.5μm in diameter, within the amount of 0.1 to 5 mass percent of the ferromagnetic powder contained in this layer.
