PURPOSE: A method of displaying auxiliary information of a digital TV is provided to apply a ball pointer to electronic program guide to display auxiliary information on a screen when the pointer is placed at the position of the current program for more than a predetermined period of time. CONSTITUTION: When a user selects a point utilizing mode on a menu, a pointer is moved to a desired event on an electronic program guide screen. When the pointer is placed on the desired event for a predetermined period of time, sub-menus of the event are displayed. When the user selects one of the sub-menus, the channel of the event is tuned. PSIP(program and information protocol) information and KBPS information are stored in a database in order to display an image and sub-menu image. |
