PURPOSE: A method for registering a location in a mobile communication switching center is provided to prevent reception unavailability due to a hand-off by always matching the current location of a terminal with location information of a home location register. CONSTITUTION: An MSC(Mobile Switching Center) transmits an update request message to a BSC(Base Station Controller) to update location information of terminals connected with the current location of the MSC(S21). The BSC transmits the update request message to a base station managed by the BSC(S22). The base station transmits a location registration message to the terminals connected to an area of the base station(S23). The base station transmits a location registration reclaim message to the BSC(S24). The BSC confirms the location registration reclaim message and transmits the confirmed message to the MSC(S25). The MSC changes location information by searching information of the terminals currently moving by the location registration reclaim and transmits the changed location information of the terminals to a home location register(S26). The home location register updates and stores the updated location registration information(S27). |
