<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set current that is supplied from and is returned to a power supply to be in a current waveform where a high power factor is achieved and a harmonic current is reduced in the power running/power supply regenerative operation of a motor for the controlling apparatus of the motor for driving a rotor for centrifugation. <P>SOLUTION: The controlling apparatus comprises a two-way power convertor 22 for power supplies whose AC side is connected to an AC power supply 21 via a reactor 23, and whose DC side is connected to a capacitor 24 for smoothing, and a two-way power convertor 26 whose AC and DC sides are connected to a motor 28 and the capacitor 24 for smoothing, respectively.
