<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gateway by which a client rapidly performs access to a server even when the server is re-connected to a network and a new IP address is assigned and also to obtain a communication system and a server access method. <P>SOLUTION: A proxy gateway 14 is arranged in a communication system. Thus, the register of the IP address is received when the IP address is dynamically assigned to the server 12. When a host name is given after access from the client 15, the IP address of the server 12 having the host name is retrieved and access is performed to the server 12.
