PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional receiver that many buffers within a receiver are required since FIFO is required separately for each kind of data to avoid overflow and underflow, and that the delay time increases within the receiver.
SOLUTION: Packets composed of a fixed quantity of data including incompressible voice data are transmitted via an Ethernet (registered trademark) from a transmitter. A receiver, which receives these packets, separates the voice data by a separator 10, and counts them with a voice data arrival counter 31 which counts them at every arrival of the packets, and smooths them with a low-pass filter 32, and then, abstracts received clocks by a received clock abstracting circuit (PLL) 33, and uses them for reading the data from a sound data arrival absorbing buffer 28 where voice data arrive and a graphic data arrival absorbing buffer 29 where graphic data arrive thereby taking synchronization with the transmitter.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
|
