PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device in which occurrence of failure such as interruption in images and audio is reduced as much as possible by surely detecting communication errors between two incorporated control microcomputers and quickly recovering the communication. SOLUTION: In a bidirectional clock synchronized serial communication being conducted between a back end microcomputer 16 and a front end microcomputer 8, transmission object data, which are made by adding error detecting bytes to original transmission object bytes, are transmitted from the transmission side between the microcomputers 16 and 8. When the bytes corresponding to the error detecting bytes are received at a receiving side, an error detection of the received data is conducted by using the bytes. When an error is detected in the received data, the receiving side notifies the transmitting side about the generation of a communication error and the transmitted object data that are lastly transmitted are retransmitted from a first byte.
