<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic merchandise adjustment system capable of automatically calculating and adjusting prices of merchandise housed in a merchandise cart without the need of troublesome operations such as a barcode read operation and without the need of a monitoring function of a video camera or the like for monitoring dishonesty of a purchaser. <P>SOLUTION: In the automatic merchandise adjustment system for automatically adjusting the merchandise 30 housed in the merchandise cart 10 by the purchaser, the merchandise cart 10 acquires image information of the merchandises 30 accommodated inside the merchandise cart 10 by the purchaser and reports the acquired image information of the merchandise to a merchandise adjustment device 20 managing adjustment of the merchandise. The merchandise adjustment device 20 recognizes the merchandise 30 housed in the merchandise cart 10 by the purchaser by image recognition for the image information of the merchandise reported from each merchandise cart 10 and receives the adjustment by a credit card of the purchaser for the total price of each merchandise housed in the merchandise cart 10 by the purchaser. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
